How it works.

Take our quiz to see if you’re eligible for free testing. All we need is your age, sex, and the symptoms you experience.

If you are eligible, you can claim your test and schedule a telehealth visit with a board-certified genetic counselor. Afterwards, we'll send a kit right to your door. Collect a saliva sample and ship it back in the pre-paid box.

Results are ready and viewable in our portal around 6 weeks after you send us your sample. All findings will be discussed with participants during a follow-up telehealth appointment with a board-certified genetic counselor.

Eligibility.

Our free testing program is open to all people in the US with symptoms suggestive of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). This condition can be caused by variants in one of three genes: C9orf72, MAPT or GRN. People affected with FTD may present with behavioral changes, language impairment, and symptoms of neuromuscular disease like muscle weakness or tremors. With an onset as early as thirty years of age, FTD can be misdiagnosed as major depression, schizophrenia, or obsessive-compulsive disorder among others. Eligible participants may be given a free genetic test on a case by case basis after review by our experts.
